- At the beginning of the project Slater Associates will meet with you on site to discuss the landscape program and establish the goals and objectives for the property.
- Before we start desiging our master plan, we will complete a site analysis and assesment of the existing conditions of your property. During this process we will identify both opportunities and constraints.
- We will then design varying concept plans that depict our overall intent for your property. Concept plans convey ideas, shapes, and the overall scope of the project. They are idealized, not precise, complete drawings.

Design Developement Phase

- After presenting the Concept Plans Slater Associates will combine the preferred ideas from these plans into one drawing. This drawing is a more accurate and detailed drawing of the proposed design.
- We will continue to refine the design by pulling together various elements approved in the Conept Phase and start identifying proposed materials.
- At the end of each phase, Slater Associates will complete a cost estimate to provide the client with as much information as possible so that they can make informed decisions about moving forward.

- An image board may be provided during the Design Developement Phase to show the client varying color, material and finish selections.

- Computer modeling is a useful tool for exploring different design possibilities while being able to see it in 3 dimensions. These life-like renderings help the client visualize the designers intent.
- 3-D modeling is not typically included in our original contract but can be added at anytime during the design process for an additional fee.

- Based on your approval of the Master Plan presentation, Slater Associates, Inc. will refine the selected plan and produce Construction Drawings.
- Construction Drawings are graphic and written instructions needed to describe, bid and construct the proposed design.
- The Construction Drawings will be a set of scaled drawings in plan view including but not limited to Demolition, Grading, Layout, Planting and Detail sheets. Details to include elements specified on plans such as fences, walls, trellises, lighting, paving, outdoor fireplaces, outdoor kitchens etc.
